The Best 25 Purchases I Made Before 25
And why I have no regrets spending my money this way.
These are some of the best purchases I’ve made thus far in my life in no particular order. My hope is that they give you some inspiration and provide some insight into how others spend their money. Most importantly, I hope this list may make you think about some of your own purchases over the last few years and what was worth it (and maybe what wasn’t).
1. Team Fees
I performed in colorguard and winterguard for 9 years. To participate in this sport, you have to pay fees which help cover rehearsal space, uniforms, transportation to competitions, etc. They’re typically a couple of thousand of dollars each year. Over the years, I’ve spent quite a bit on colorguard fees and on equipment. I have absolutely no regrets. Participating in this sport brought me so much joy, some of my best friends, and to this day, many of my favorite memories.
It is so critical to spend money on things that bring you joy. Of course, it is also important to budget appropriately so that this decision can be a financially responsible one. I’m so grateful that I as able to spend my money in this way and I would do it all over again if I could go back in time.
